Hi everyone,
We have received quite a number of responses from students who are interested in BMS’ free music lessons - offerred for the first time at Bentley.
For those of you who haven’t received an email on this, we’re offering free beginner lessons on guitar, piano, and drum. Most students have signed up for guitar lessons because a lot of people have guitars already. We also got more than a few students for piano and drum.
Those who are looking for intermediate or advanced lessons are encouraged to sign up as well. We’re gonna see the interest for these levels and make some calls. If you’re not getting free lessons, we’ll try our best to bring you affordable lessons from reliable sources.
Interested in tutoring or learning? Email BMS@bentley.edu and let us know as soon as possible.
Update:
For guitar lessons: we have already teamed up more than six groups of guitar students!
For piano lessons: we’ll try to do one-on-one lessons due to the nature of the instrument. Please come to the meeting this Sunday (Nov 02) at 8PM in the Bubble to discuss more details.
For drum lessons: we’re trying to figure out about getting drum sets. Email us if you guys already have your own set.
Hi everyone,
We are extremely excited about the Elephant House performance at The 1917 Tavern (commonly known as The Pub) at Bentley University tonight. I couldn’t stay til the end, but I didn’t forget to bring back some photos and videos for you guys. They were taken on my phone so the video/audio quality wasn’t particularly great, but you’ll feel the enthusiasm of the band and the kool’n'krazee fans! =)

Hi everyone,
Kim, Evan, Tom and I had a great time at the Activities Fair today. We’d never met so many musical talents before. It seemed that the Class of 2012 was filled with artistic souls ready for action. I’m quite sad that I can’t play the guitar like lots and lots of you guys could. But hey, the good news is, we all are definitely having some rockin’ performances to look forward to!
This is all really exciting, Bentley guys and gals - thank you so much for showing interest, signing up, and sharing your enthusiasm with us. For those who already signed up, you will receive information on our First General Meeting soon. For those who haven’t, please either check back on da blog or shoot us an email to be added to the BMS mailing list. Trust me, it’s the kind of list you’d love to be on.
Enjoy your weekend!
Hello everyone,
Guess what’s one of the biggest fests at the beginning of every academic year at Bentley? The Fall Activities Fair! This year more than 100 student organizations will be there, including the Bentley Music Society. Please stop by the BMS table to register for our mailing list, meet with us, and enjoy the BMS-style jam sessions performed by our own e-boarders.
There are several open spots in our e-board this semester. That means we’re recruiting new people to jump on board! Open positions include, but not limited to, Freshman Liaison, Sophomore Liaison, and Treasurer Trainee. On the same note, we’re also looking for students to join our Marketing Team and the A Cappella Choir.
So, if you want to discover one of your most terrific experiences during your Bentley years, come to the Activities Fair and the next BMS events. We’ll be there; and you will, too.
